The Company Hellenic Tzilalis (Cyprus) Ltd was established and registered in year 2001 by Hellenic Mining Company Group and the Tzilalis Group of Companies from Greece. The aim of the Company is to develop as an integrated waste management Company providing complete and expert solutions to the industry and the Local Authorities in Cyprus.

Combining the long experiences of the Hellenic Mining Group (the oldest and largest industrial Group in Cyprus) and the industry specific experiences of the Tzilalis Group (the largest Waste Management Group in Greece) the Company is targeting to develop a wide spectrum of services including among others the following:

• Waste collection and transportation for industrial clients.
• Designing and running waste collection and transportation systems for Local Authorities.
• Designing, developing and running waste disposal facilities.
• Designing, developing and running waste sorting and waste treatment facilities.
• Designing and running recycling and thermal treatment programs and facilities.
• Hazardous waste management (advising, packing, transportation etc).
• Industrial cleaning.
• Indoor and outdoor cleaning.
• Water and wastewater systems cleaning and maintenance.
• Sea and seashore cleaning.
• Hospital waste treatment.
• Remediation of contaminated sites.

The Company has already developed a fleet of specialized vehicles used for the collection and transportation of waste in the Nicosia & Paphos District servicing about 100 clients including private companies and Local Authorities. The Company is also currently preparing for expanding its network of services in the Larnaca, Limassol and Paphos Districts. The Company has also recently successfully launched a new service in Cyprus, which has already been accepted by the industry wining the Company a number of important new contracts. The service comprises of the renting out of portable waste compactors (press containers) to customers. The compactors are stationed at the customer's premises and are transported with the Company's specialized trucks for final disposal of the waste.

The new service is quite attractive to corporate clients like Hotels, central office blocks, factories, large and concentrated housing facilities, hospitals and clinics etc. Companies like, Bank of Cyprus, Ongology Center, Holiday Inn Hotel, Hilton Hotel etc., have already subscripted to the new service and a number of others are preparing to join as well. The largest success of the new service has been achieved with the Chloraka Communal Board. The Company, after participating in a tender process has won a contract for the provision and transportation of five compactors to the Board for use at five of the hotels within the Board's Boundaries.
