The Company has recently won through an open public tender procedure a very
important contract. The Chloraka Communal Board, the local Authority of one of the most dynamically growing
tourist areas in the Paphos District has taken an initiative to provide service for the garbage collection
of the Hotels in the Chloraka Community area with the installation of mobile Press Containers(Compactors) .
The Board invited open public tenders for the provision of the service from the private sector and our Company
has won the contract and has already installed Compactors in five Hotels in the Chloraka area.
The contract in currently extended to include a sixth Hotel and another hotel is expected to be added by the summer time.
The Board is buying a complete service from our Company through this initiative. Our Company owns
the Compactors which are rented out to the Board and has the responsibility for their maintenance,
and cleaning throughout the duration of the contract. Our company is using specialised vehicles for
the collection and transportation of the compactors to the area of final disposal of the waste (landfill).
The use of mobile compactors for the temporary storing and transportation of the waste form large sources
of waste (like Hotels, large office blocks e.t.c) is a very efficient and effective way of solving problems associated with the
traditional way of collection of the waste from such sources. The compactor minimises the volume of
the waste though the compaction, keeps them closed from the external environment, and avoids regular
problems with small animals and insects. The saves storing space and has a much cleaner and
environmentally acceptable way of temporarily treating its waste.
The Compactor is a very easy and safe to operate piece of equipment client's personnel can very easily
get used to its use. The feedback from the Hotels and other facilities that are already using the service
is very positive and encouraging.
